Another term for "reverse barlow" is focal reducer-
And you can make one yourself. Here's a page to get you started. Go to
research and downloads->a focal reducer made from a finder

These are also available commercially meant to thread onto common SCTs.
Additionally, there also is a fellow who makes these
that will thread into your eyepiece, just like any eyepiece filter. Dig
around on the site I just gave you and you'll find reference to it.
One final alternative-there used to be a 0.5 version
of this sold 15 years ago which comes up on E**y every once in awhile.

Thanks Jeff,
I guess that's why I don't hear too much talk about them. I was curious I
thought maybe in combination with a relay lens you could use the scope as
the finder. I think you get a right side up image. Nobody does that, so I
figure it's not practical.
