subject: looking for a versatile TA

AM> Hi, after being promised by one company that they could

AM> deliver in mid-February a versatile ISDN Terminal Adaptor with dual

 AM> port capabilities and built-in X.3/X.28/X.29 D-Channel Packet

AM> Assembler Disassembler, I'm now in the difficult position of having

AM> to find a substitute product.

AM> I've spoken with the Telstra Product Managers for Austpac

AM> (Chris Day), the Network & Technology Group (Jim Maniatis), and

AM> ISDN (Ray Cao 07 3838 8261) and none of them have been able to

AM> suggest a viable D-channel ISDN PAD nor cost effective alternative.

 AM> Any suggestions?

I recently spoke to telstra about a private 24hour 64k ISDN link

($2170 per year) or 20/min, first 3 minutes 4c minute there after)

between me and another location 20km away and was told that ontop of

this price, I have to buy my own cards (around $500 each).

The name & number of person to contact was Paul Marchal (sydney)

02 99778399. As It was Telstra that put me onto this number, I would

assume that this supplier is tied up with them or one of their

departments.

Can't hurt you giving them a call, though I have not..as they were

going to ring me back and haven't as yet (10 days later)

Russell
