We used to have an amish baby sitter. One day one of the kids turned the
thermostat up to full in the living room. The babysitter didn't understand
how heating systems worked so her fix was to open the windows to cool the
house down.

You can't fix a problem you don't understand, don't be an amish babysitter
just because you have empathy.
