PC> Now for the problem. I can connect, "slip", username then PC> password. It tells me what my IP address is (whatever that means), PC> then tells me that I have a SLIP connection and to press "CTRL C" PC> or "CTRL Break" to exit, BUT when I try to use the browser it locks PC> the computer for about 8 seconds then tells me that "Explore has PC> stopped responding to system requests" and so You could very easily have an incorrect setting in the " Dial up tcp/ip" . I had eveything running OK except for no download from the news groups, which was caused by an incorrect entry in " POP (Mail) ID ". So it pays to check and experiment with any settings you have doubts about.
