There's nothing to indicate that what the interrogator wants to hear is in
fact the truth.  The interrogator wants to hear what s/he *thinks* is the
truth, that's not necessarily the same thing as what is in fact the truth.
And the interrogator isn't going to stop the torture until s/he hears what
s/he wants to hear.
