It's not the pitched battles that are the problem. We won those in Nam and
Iraq. It's when the fighters fade into the populace.
While one can win against a populace in revolt you'd have to sell your soul
and use Stalinist measures. Hopefully we'll never do that.
We're still having trouble in Afghanistan and begging NATO to support us
there. Even our commanders have given testimony that the Armed Forces are
close to the break point.
