IMO Colin Powell was a better man and better qualified for his job and the top
job than any other member of Bush minor's administration.  And yet he was
never more than a figurehead.  He finally did resign, but far too late to do any
good; IMO he kept thinking that things would change and/or believed what
Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld were telling him.  Had it been me, I'd've resigned -
publicly - the day I found out I was being lied to.
