| subject: | OS/2 Soundcard Summary updated 10/1 |
* Forwarded (from: COMP.OS.OS2.MULTIMEDIA) by Manfred Strohmaier using timEd/2 1.10+.
* Originally from Roderick W. Smith (3:800/846.13) to All.

Some more info for you.
From: rodsmith{at}indiana.edu (Roderick W. Smith)
(Note that I've set the followup exclusively to
comp.os.os2.multimedia, which is the most appropriate group for this).
I've finally gotten around to updating my OS/2 Soundcard Summary, at
http://ezinfo.ucs.indiana.edu/~rodsmith/sound.html. I've incorporated a
lot of little changes in addition to what's on the changelist, which is:
* Miscellaneous small textual changes
* Information added on Warp 4.0, particularly with respect to the
Aria and Ensoniq boards, but also on VoiceType Dictation in Warp
4.0 in the Basic Technology section.
* WARNING concerning Warp 4.0 driver changes added to the Driver
Installation section.
* Small sub-section in the Basic Technology section added on
full-duplex sound.
* Small sub-section in the Basic Technology section added on
"plug-and-play" (PnP) technology.
* Major updates to the Gravis section, and addition of a section
on the AMD InterWave chipset used in the latest GUS boards, as
well as some others.
* New section on the Core Dynamics DynaSonix line, which is based
on the AMD InterWave chipset.
* New information on the Diamond MMK7000.
* Updated information on Crystal Semiconductor products.
* New section added on ESS chipsets.
* Reveal has apparently gone out of business. I've added a link to
a new site that has Reveal drivers, though. I've also updated
information on the SC800, which is another InterWave-based board.
