AM> I'm planning a trip this summer from Illinois and plan to pass
AM> through the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.
AM> Can anyone advise me as to the laws of these states as far as carrying
AM> in the car while travelling? Being from IL, we have no right to carry
AM> here. :(
You'd be wise to write to each state and to the towns where you'll be
staying. There's a lot of different laws to follow, so you need to
know them all. I heard of some poor tourist who broke his motor home
in California, took it to an RV repair place, they found his handgun,
last I heard he was facing some hard time in the penitentiary. If this
story is indeed true, you're better off to leave guns home or follow
federal laws for transporting interstate.
