I turned off this echo enroute and turned it back on when I got back so
didnt ¨know this message was sent, but it was a sweet thought.

Yes, the MIL died earlier than expected by some 3 months.  We had timed a
trip ¨to get there while she was still 'ok' enough to enjoy the trip.  She
had ¨metastatic cancer and it was known that she was not going to be one of
the rare ¨miracle survivors.  She caught a mild cold and went under very
fast, less than ¨24 hours warning that it was turning to pnemonia and she
was gone just like ¨that.  This was a blessing as the next 3 months
wouldhave become increasingly ¨painful.  She died before any major pain set
in.

We cleaned up her house (Don and Charlotte) and it's being sold (several
bites ¨already).  I was in school.  Her will deeds 50/50 between Don and
his sister ¨but Mom had some uncovered medical bills and other debts so we
were told by ¨Don's sister that there probably wont be anything left as the
bills have to be ¨paid from the sale of the house before anything can go to
the family.

I hope no one thinks I'm bad but we were hoping for a bit of money to put
¨towards Charlotte's college fund.  Don's Dad died several years ago but he
¨talked with us and said his will (same one as MIL) should provide no great
¨fortune but would be enough to help out with that.  He asked Don to put
15,000$ ¨of it aside for that and then if there was much more, to put it
50/50 between ¨more for Charlotte and to fix up our house (which needs work
as it's 40 years ¨old but in overall decent shape).
