Hello Nicholas,
NB> If you use a BSO mailer, there is absolutely no need to use *.MSG for
NB> interBBS games. You can simply create a dummy netmail area, let the game
NB> produce those files, move your game packets to a filebox to get sent off
NB> to your uplink, and then delete the contents of the dummy netmail area
NB> containing those game .MSG files.
I use binkd. I have seen fileboxes mentioned in the config but haven't used
them so they are a mystery to me. I suppose everything in a filebox
directory is simply sent and deleted? Is other stuff like netmail/echomail
also put in there or is that still handled by BSO?
NB> Easy peasy. Those .MSG files are only for AMA (Arcmail attach) style
NB> mailers. BSO doesn't need them whatsoever.
Right, BSO just needs a flo file to tell it what to send and what to do
with it after it is sent.
Ttyl :-),
Al
... Put on your seatbelt - I'm gonna try something new!
