subject: Strange problem

-> hello everyone!
->
-> Somthing wierd happened to my modem a few days ago. I went on
-> vacation to new york hoping that my BBS didn't crash, but when i got
-> back, i found that instead of my computer crashing, my modem had
-> "crashed". The mailer had exited 3 days before saying that it was
-> unable to initialise the modem, and when I went into a terminal
-> program i didn't get any response from the modem (not ev echo). I
-> rebooted my macine via ctrl-alt-del but the mailer st init the
-> modem, so then i hit the reset button and that seemed to fix it.
-> Does anyone have an explenation for this? I am using t code.

It's pretty much the same thing as your computer locking up. Only a cold
boot will do. I experienced this when I was using a USR Sportster 14.4k, but
NEVER with my supra. I've found that cutting power to it usually fixes te
problem though. :)
