They get around that by using 'random dialers' that don't call specific phone
numbers.  Some slimeballs *use* those 'do not call' lists to call people; in
many if not most cases they're not within the jurisdiction of the court.

In the space of an hour yesterday afternoon I received *five* telemarketer
calls.  All five were automated recordings, I've no idea what they were
pushing because I'd hung up by the third word.
