Indeed, feel besieged and misunderstood even by their own.
COMbine this with their conviction that theirs is the only
path to rightness and righteousness and look what you get.
SOMe elements of the Christian right could easily tip over
that direction.  SOme very small sects have.  Fanaticism is
a damned scary thing.
