John, at 20:30 on Jul 17 1996, you wrote to Arthur Marsh... JP> As for the Austel approval number, I have no idea where to even find it. I JP> posted a message about this the other day. Are there any USR V.34+ Couriers JP> which are NOT Austel approved? Sure, those which have been privately imported from the US. Indeed, many people actually prefer them to the Austel model. For example, the current US SDL had added Distinctive Ring, CID, Carrier Loss Redial, and an X-modem SDL loader (no longer platform dependant), plus a few bug-fixes. Austel Couriers will likely not have these features for quite a while yet. JP> I wonder whether my Courier is Austel approved or not. It SHOULD be stuck to the bottom of your modem, but if not, an ATI7 will tell you if it's an Australian model or not.
