John, at 20:23 on Jul 17 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BG> There IS an approval sticker on the V.34+ Dynalink, but I have a strong BG> suspicion that Askey may have pulled a swiftie to get it. JP> There is also an Austel approval sticker on the 1414VQH (Which, JP> incidentally I still have sitting around). I wonder whether or not it JP> actually *is* approved. As long as tone recognition is not a prerequisite, they probably are. I'm far more intrigued that whilst USR Sportsters require an Australianised EPROM for approval, the Dynalink rebadges still use US/Canada EPROM code, with their higher than legal -10db TX levels (and the fact that they also suffer from the Sportster's V.42bis problem tells me that the code is identical).
