Here in Wisconsin we have a "Do Not Call List," that is strictly enforced.

A couple of these companies selling phony "extended warranties" on cars was
calling people in Wisconsin, I even got a call from them telling me the
warranty on my car was expiring.
I haven't owned a car in decades.

The warranty companies are in big trouble now, in a number of states.
