Roger,
You forgot one thing about the Pony that everyone seems to forget. USE
FLAPS! Don't forget the flaps! Flaps for takeoff and especially LANDINGS!
You'll be surprised how much better the Mustang handles at low altitude and
speeds when flaps are used. The real P-51 could throw 50 degrees of flap
down and the models can use it too. Try 20 Degrees for takeoff but use the
whole 50 for landing. Keep the power on and let the flaps do their thing.
