| subject: | Cracking Blue Wave |
Hello, All.
There has been some discussion about the "no cracks" rule I
imposed in here about Blue Wave. There is a good reason for that: I don't
want anyone to get offended that someone would want to crack BW. Plain and
simple. Please don't discuss that in here.
However, the subject of modifying BW to work around Y2K or other
"program" issues is on topic.
My personal opinion on this is that since the author abandoned Blue Wave
and didn't provide at least a "freeware" key then it's his loss
that people do crack his software. As a software author myself, I think
that's bad practice and when your software still has a rather strong
following, even after a decade-plus, it's sad that at least a legal
"freeware" key hasn't popped up or at least some sort of official
support has surfaced.
Now that's all I have to say on the subject; if you'd like to discuss this
with me, please use netmail (preferred if it's available to you) or email
(see my sig).
Thanks.
Later,
Sean
