28.8k modems have been around for around 2 or so years, they have lasted, 
but with the current phone system upgrading, i don't think that the 33.6k 
modem will hang around for long, not to sat they are crap, they arent, its 
just frustrating to see that a modem is built at such a high speed and our 
current phone system can't get that speed consistently............
