Hello Dan!

21 Aug 09 16:31, you wrote to me:

and this is where your total ignorance of computers is oh so glaring.

First off, did you know there is also a 64 bit version of XP, oops???

Secondly, 64 bit XP/VISTA is perfectly capable of running 32 bit programs.

While there is a glimmer of truth in what you say above, many companies
dont migrate over right away, and they didnt jump on the XP band wagon
right away either, but the businesses I speak of, are the small ones, they
primarily run apps such as Quickbooks and Peachtree which **DOES** run on
Vista, 32/64 bit aside.

Of course you did know that Microsoft also has parallel versions of
Windows, specifically targetted at larger businesses, mainly Windows Server
2003 and Windows Server 2008, you knew this right?

DC> Selling a computer for a new user is one thing. Selling one to
DC> someone with working apps is another. What good is the system if \
DC> you can't run your business anymore?

Might I remind you that the same exact issue was present when XP was
released, I was there and heard the bitching. XP really didnt reach
maturity until 2003 when Service Pack 2 came out. Funny we are at the same
point past Vista's release and it too has matured.. Can you name something
I cannot do on my Vista 64 bit machine?

Every software title on our shelves, including the packaged freebies and
trials that come on the computers will run on Vista. So wtf are you talking
about?
