Yep.. I've never set it up here.. I'd much rather use linux native
software. Old habits I guess.. in the old days, DOSEMU under linux was not
especially secure.

Why not try a linux bbs?  There are several of them out there now.. MBSE
comes to mind as freeware (with source ).. BBBS (no source,
shareware as I mentioned in an earlier message), and I'm sure there are
others :) I've never run PCBoard for my own system, but did have to run it
on a spare system when U.S.Robotics was working on the FileGate with me
back in about 1990-1994 or whenever.. I never did like it's interface. 
Matter of taste I guess.  I know plenty of people who hate BBBS as well
