TS} I hadn't realized, and wasn't aware of any
} previous announcement to the effect that, the
} full and, um, colorful use of the English
} language was prohibited in this echo when
} appropriate, as I think it was in this case.
Tim, on most networks (RIME, ILink, etc.) "colorful" language is
disallowed in all but a few conferences designated for that purpose.
I assumed the same was true for FidoNet, but you seem to imply that
it's up to the individual moderators.
While I wasn't personally offended, I don't think it has any place
in a technical support echo where people of all backgrounds may be
participating. Besides, if we started using those words regularly,
how long would it be until they lost their "colorful" connotation?
Thanks for your cooperation and for your apology.
