-> What is Pyrodex made of (like is it just some other gun power), and
-> how much does it cost?
Pyrodex is one of the few gun-powders that I don't know the composition
of, but I can tell you it reeks of sulphur (so don't get any fun ideas
to mix it with Potassium Chlorate or anything that blows with sulphur I
guess.. but I'm not sure) and it costs 14$ a pound at most hunting
shops. I blew myself up with it earlier this year (a pound in my face)
and I'm very happy to say that all it did was give me a big second
degree burn on my face and other exposed areas (and my blue jeans are
now my white jeans with a few blue spots).. the burn healed within a
week.. so the stuff's relatively safe..
I also understand that it is not very likely to explode when in contact
with static electricity. But I wouldn't bet my life on it.
