I think the early versions were shareware/trialware...and recall eating LD charges to call the Gazelle Systems BBS in Utah to get it. By the time DOS 5 came out, due to the FAT changes, you had to upgrade from Q-DOS 2 to Q-DOS 3 which was strictly retail, but with a guarantee that they'd take it back and buy you the file manager of your choice if you didn't like it. I googled around for a bit and found a few hits on abandonware sites that either had dead links or required registration...so no easy link to paste. The author ended up losing Gazelle Systems as a condition of his divorce settlement, and his ex kept it running for a while without producing any new versions or products. He started PowerQuest a few years later and produced Partition Magic. .\\ike --- GoldED/2 2.50+* Origin: -=( The TechnoDrome )=- Austin,TX 512-327-8598 33.6k (1:382/61) SEEN-BY: 10/1 11/200 331 14/250 34/999 120/228 128/2 187 140/1 222/2 226/0 SEEN-BY: 236/150 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 393/68 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 5030/1256 @PATH: 382/61 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
