The book says the .333 OKH was really the father of the .338-06.
They started opening them up to .338 because the selection of
bullets was better after Winchester brought out the .338 Magnum.
The ballistics are almost identical. EP

I'm thinking about doing it. I have lots of surplus 30-06 cases;
and some spare '98 actions already in 30-06. So, it seems like a
