City of Beaumont, Texas EMS is now accepting applications for full- and
part-time paramedics. Beaumont EMS is a third City service, operating
as a division of Public Health. Full-time paramedics work 24/48. Our
system is all-paramedic. We operate from fixed stations. We run about
1,000 calls per month with 5 MICU's. 911 only responses. Excellent
equipment and protocols. In-house CE.
Requirements include:
Texas paramedic
ACLS and BTLS or PHTLS
Minimum 2 years experience as a paramedic (full-time only....
part-time does not require paramedic experience)
Application process includes written DOT exam, physical agility, TDH
skills test, "megacode" scenario testing, and interview.
Starting salary for full-time paramedics is approximately $25.5K annual,
with excellent benefits. Part-time paramedic pay is $8.25/hour.
