That's interesting. I don't think I've emailed with anyone from New Zealand
before..  A few from Australia..

We're just coming off of one of the nastiest winters we've seen in quite
a while, snowfall here was about 5.2 meters or 17 feet.
(Can I assume you 'speak metric' there ?)    B)

We get some hot weather in the summers and some cold weather in winter
with cool springs and falls so we get the full gamut of seasons here..

So this prompts me to ask how the weather is there?

I've never run a BBS, other than briefly just to see if I could get
one working, but back in the pre-internet days I was a user on as
many as 7 boards at a time. Started into computers in about 1982
and bought my first modem around 1987.

That covers part of my question above. Do you get below freezing there in
your winters?..  This is a bit of a cool spring and today will be a high
of 7c and a low of Zero, which is unseasonably cool for this time of year.
By now the high/low should be running about 16c/7c..

We get a few summer days as high as 35c and a few winter nights closing
in on -40c so we learn to adapt..   B)
