The accronym MICN came up in someone else's post a while back, and
a lot of us (myself included) were wondering what it meant. I ran into
the term again in a book about trauma centers and their definition of MICN
was Mobile Intensive Care Nurse. Apparently it's an additional set of
protocals and procedures an RN can learn in order to certify as a nurse on
a Mobile Intensive Care rig. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on
what additional training is given and why, my source didn't go into that
much detail about it.
