 They used to be dubbed the "Fly Frenchmen" but then in those days
Montreal had exclusive rights to hockey players in Quebec.

They certainly have fallen on hard times to be on the selling block
but I hope they are sold to a hockey loving family.

I used to be a Leafs fan too ....but then after the firing of
Mr. Imlach the coach back in the 1960s,   and on National TV
at the bench, I have not been, and been a thorn in their side
even on a Toronto based BBS, being banned under the guise of
issueing  Racial comments at the people of Toronto.

The owner of that BBS, have since made peace by retracting
the ban, but I'd never go back to the board.  They made it
due to me filing in court to have a hearing to these charges
which their mentor or moderator didn't want to appear, and
well no money for the money I was asking in damages and
lawyer fees.

I had great taglines every year, and we used to have great
team discussions , as the Big M's dad used to sharpen my
skates, and since I lived in the Leaside area of Toronto
I had the Canadian Dream of playing with the brothers
Frank and Peter,   George and all while they were still
active.

Of course at my new home or one of them, I have soccer now
or Football the beautiful game, and .....mmmmm...well
my local team I cheered for ...well they folded.
 
What is it?    3 games left for the Leafs....and mmm...my
fab tagline....the best golf team from the NHL ....number 41
or 42.

I hope onday Nick, you and other fans, get going and kick this
useless Leaf Management out and get someone or ownership say
a real hockey fan to own the leafs again..it is their only
hope.

Since the 1960s, and my curse on the leafs,  and I make no profit
yet part of the bet, was a case of Orange Crush ...yikes..I am
sick of it...but ...anyhow at school reunions we all laugh over
my curse and the sidebet I never collect....but wonder how
long this will continue.

BTW: They do play ice hockey here in South America, and my wife
     yes...they got me on the ice to prove that I could still
skate..but totally against Doctor's Orders, due to the sugerys
etc .... IT was a long way around the ice..in the fog. And that
was the last time, I had used those skates since the 1970s
when they were hung up, due to problems.   

I love ice hockey.    If I could do it again..yes...and I am
very happy with all that happened to me, and the wonderful
people I met, in the countrys we played.   No regrets.
 
Now .... I will be looking forward to hearing from you nick.
