Yeah, hard pitch can do that unless you really put the weight to it. If
it's polished out, it's time to do some hand work which might take care of
the ripple. Rouge on softer (warmer) pitch for the final finish will cure
the ripple.

Subject: ATM Micro Ripple
Hi,
I've been finishing a small 4.5" F2 mirror and have detected some
micro ripple. This mirror is being done on a machine. Could some of the
more experienced folks give me some advice!

I've been using quite hard pitch to prevent a turned edge, could this be the cause?
Regards,
Alfredo
