subject: Init String

RS> G'day - sorry, but a bit of a general and I'm sure common
RS> question. Is there an init string best suited for a Jetstream
RS> 33.6k external under Win95 Dial-Up Networking to generally give
 RS> best performance.

 RS> I also notice when connecting to my ISP, I get 26400 - 28800
RS> connect (connecting to a 28800 modem), whereas my brother gets
RS> 115200 connecting to the same ISP using a Lightspeed 28.8k modem.
RS> Is this due to the init string?

Your brothers modem reports to locked port speed rather than the
connect speed. To fix this, just add W2 to the init string :-)

Cheers
