CM> Hi Bruce....sorry about getting your name wrong!
Don't worry - it's an easy mistake to make - especially when I never wrote
to you before and you don't even know me name! (;-)
CM> Have you got some EMS stories to share with me? I'm not in that field,
A field of Paramedics. Is that the same as a gaggle of geese or suchlike?.
Yeah - well I always think if you want some `juicy' life-saving tales - you
should watch the ghoulish telly programs which are becoming so worryingly
common on UK terrestrial television (999, Blues and Twos, Crimewatch, etc).
I dunno if you have a similar glut of real-life-gore-fest extravaganzas in
America - but it has the effect of `blunting' the fact that to be faced with
these situations every day is not `glamorous' or `glorified' in any way -
yet this is what is presented to yer average brain-dead viewer who gets some
kind of morbid satisfaction out of seeing others in perilous or intense
predicaments (with a "Thank gawd it ain't me" mentality).
CM> but I do enjoy some good conversation. :)
Oh!. I'm sorry - I got a bit carried away there. Y'see being `in the field'
as you call it, I find that those who `say' they do - invariably are the
kind who don't. Fact of life. Nevertheless - I ain't always on me high horse
and can chat about me job in general terms - but enough about me - let's
talk about you. What d'you think of me?. (:-) No - only joking. Actually,
I'm a decrepit 40 years old -Scottish - live in England and am married
with one child - but look - I'm *still* able to smile!. Amazing, eh?.
CM> Go for it!
The jugular?. Nah - upper limbs only. Roight - see ya ma'am!
