Sorry, I'd made the same post to a group where the participants have met
her. She's the young girl with blonde hair and glasses, the "one who
dances". The character she plays is 9 years old, but actually she'd
just turned 8 when the movie was filmed. The part had actually been written
for a 9 to 11 year old Maori boy, but after a country-wide search they
ended up with an 8 year old Pakeha girl. The decision was made less than a
week before filming was due to start, and the script was left pretty much
unchanged - Vinny is a boy's name.
