What is the motivation for these politicians to support the immigration reform that you (and zillions of others, apparently) don't like? I suppose some percentage of motivation for a few politicians would be a feeling of behaving decently. I like that argument, but I've got pretty fatalistic about stuff like this - you have to draw the line somewhere at who you're going to help in the world. New immigrants are a source of cheap labour (but illegals would be even cheaper, so I don't quite follow). I'm seriously wondering - what is motivating the Republicans on this?
