"Wholesale prices rose 0.9 percent last month, more than the 0.6
percent advance analysts expected, the Labor Department reported
Thursday."

it basically says for May increased fuel costs have caused everything else
to go up in price. So then you pointed out an article that in may spending
was up 1.4 percent unadjusted for inflation. I'm just giving you the
information so you can make the adjustment and avoid the rose colored
glasses that the writer was wearing.

We aren't in bad shape, but spending in spring should have been up far more
than it was, increased fuel costs sucked up that disposable income.
