From: Gary Britt Whose arguing take Bush's word. I don't blame you for being skeptical about that. I hate it that you guys keep putting me in the position of defending him. At least I hate it now. Its the Supreme Court's words that count and the treaties we entered into centuries AFTER Jefferson died. Those cases and treaties helped add terms like enemy combatants and illegal enemy combatants to the modern day lexicon. Jefferson never wrote about Nazi's and world war II either, but doesn't mean Nazi's didn't exist.
