Yup the norwegians have been doing this for a while:

http://www.ethicalcorp.com/content.asp?ContentID=5040

"Norway has pioneered the technology at the Sleipner oil and gas field
in the North Sea since 1996. Every year the project, run by state
controlled utility Statoil, injects one million tonnes of CO2 into saline
aquifers 1,000 metres beneath the sea. A number of other carbon capture and
storage projects are scheduled to start running in the next five years.

Sleipner is the first of just two projects outside the US that have
actually begun injecting CO2 into underground storage sites. BP runs the
other, at the In Salah gas field in the Algerian desert."
