From: Ad First off : http://defenseupdate.typepad.com/newscast/2007/06/rafael_introduc_1.html Kute. Basically a mini-drone in an ATGW tube. Fire it off from your helo & it can do all the dangerous scouting & then target designation while you hover somewhere nice & safe acting as a missile base. However even more fun... http://defense-update-events.blogspot.com/ "A surprising exhibit was unveiled by the Chinese company AVIC I, showing two model versions of unmanned systems, a jet powered High Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) platform and a fast recce super-drone called DarkSword." The latter ("a fast recce super-drone") will especially amuse the Taiwanese. However.......could sell well in the Middle East. I'd be curious when such beasties start taking part in PRC exercises with some large containership playing the part of a USN CVN. of course there's no way "a fast recce super-drone" could ever become a tactical penetrator carrying GPS guided glide bombs......of course not..... I do love the phrase "surprising" when applied to new weapons systems. Humorously for Geo S....the Global Hawk is being exhibited in USN colours & outfitted as an MPA...... Candle makers......steam engine operators & now MPA drivers....will progress never cease it's attack upon honorable career choices? Also it's worth simply looking at the sheer numbers of drones being exhibited this year & the sheer number of countries the exhibitors are from. The dreadnoughts are on the slipway & one wonders when the Washington treaty of the 21st century will be called or if instead skynet will take over....
