From: Gary Britt Republicans who are for this are motivated by two or three principal reasons. 1. The lobbyists for big business and corporate agri-business and the Chamber of Commerce representing medium and small sized businesses in industries like construction, all of whom give these Congress critters LOTS OF MONEY want the unlimited workers portions of the bill. 2. They are fools and incompetent idiots. 3. They think if they are not for this bill they will lose the hispanic vote. Democrats are for it because these illegals represent another *victim* group that they can buy votes from and get to vote illegally (and that's not even counting the additional votes from dead illegal aliens).
