| subject: | ATM Schmidt corrector math (again) |
From: George Anderson To: atm Reply-To: George Anderson Many thanks to those who responded to my questions about R&V, my original interpretations were correct. However, my results from using that are dismal to say the least. Here is what I have from R&V for a 5.5" f/2.2 schmidt camera. The mirror is a 6" f/2, and the corrector glass is BK7 about 9mm thick. hn 60.62 D 140 NZ 0.866 r 609.6 n 1.517 hp 0.099442257 Ph 0.19789871 f 306.3183174 a 303.2816826 b 306.3183174 c 606.5784167 x 0.029113314 A 1.57273E-05 B -2.09189E-09 C -8.70941E-15 I suspect the error is in one of my calculations and will be obvious to just about anyone other than myself. I have gone over my calculations and get the same result each time. But then I have been known to repeat previous mistakes.
