Hi Mel, I can't offer any advice on adhesives that won't distort the glass, but I can say that GE clear silicone and JB-Weld epoxy both went thru my Junk-yard aluminizer with out issues. (I coated my bino-mirrors with the cells still attached) If anyone's interested in experimenting, I'll be happy to run samples thru the coating chamber and see what happens.. (can currently do up to 11.5" diameter objects) Wasn't 'Super-Glue' originally manufactured as an optical lens adhesive?
