I don't know the rigel. I use telrads on several of my scopes, and like
them. I also made a mount for a bb gun dot type sight and like its small
size. Putting the dot on an object is just as easy as the circle on the
telrad. Its low height makes it difficult to get my eye in line to use it
sometimes, which could be cured by making a 1" taller base. The telrad
has enough clearance as is.
I think the telrad is great, but ugly (butt ugly), and looks like space
junk, but my scopes aren't so sleek either. All beauty considerations
disappear in the dark.
I have seen telrads covered or enclosed in wood laminates and they look great.

Subject: ATM scope finder question
Hello to all,
I am going to build a new body for my scope, currently a 8" truss
tube, going for a wooden open tube design and will post photos of it. my
question though is on the finders, I have been reading alot on them and
hear alot on the telrad and the rigel. any thoughts, comments, ease of use
for either, cons, pros?
thanks to all that reply in advance.
