From: "James Lerch" To: Reply-To: "James Lerch" Hi Jerry, Are you using a Fixed source or Moving source Foucault platform? (hopefully fixed source! ) I ran your data thru FigureXP and here's the results: http://lerch.no-ip.com/atm/Jerry.gif (22KB) Nothing like a 0.998 Strehl to make your day, Congrats! I'd like to ask a favor if you have the time and inclination, would you consider making a pinstick mask and re-testing your mirror? The Pinstick doesn't need to have as many zones as your Couder mask, 4 or 5 would do for *this* experiment. (If you decide to do this, I'm not looking for a detailed surface analysis like you did with your 8 zone Couder mask. A setup where you test a radius near your Z1 radius, another out by your Z7 or Z8 radius, and a few pins in between would do just fine for this experiment.) For reference, here's an image of the pinstick mask I used during my Couder VS. Robo testing marathon http://lerch.no-ip.com/atm/PinStick.jpg This is a 7 zone pinstick mask, where the tips of each 'pin' are on a line across the center of the mirror, and each tip is as at the effective radius of the Couder mask. The hope of this experiment is to test an hypothesis I have with regards to my recent Couder Vs. Robo exercise, and you help would be GREATLY appreciated!
