  I have a netcomm 28.8 running under Windows 3.11 and Telix for Windows
  I have had the same problem but it seem to be the baud rate went you 
  setup for a BBs  I have had to change it a few times but mine works 
  fine now.

  When I install telix auto detect, Detected a Zoom Modem 28.8.k and that 
  is what I use string are AT&F^M~~ATZ0~~AT%C%E2^M

  On my other comms prog I could not connect at more than 14400 and if 
  I did  I got disconnected now with Telix and Zoom modem strings I have
  connect at 24000 or 26400.
  I have only connect to one board at 28000 but I think I get bad lines 
  a lot.
