I've watched Carl go from teacher of mirror making classes where his
students often won optical prizes at star parties, to top notch optician,
to a dimension in another universe.  In addition, he freely and eagerly
dispenses advice.  He has plans in the works to further improve his optics.
 It is a true honor to know such a world class person and optical hero.
