You do not state what quality of images you wish to achieve. Then why are
you complaining about the image quality? ;-)

Either stop complaining about image quality, or put image quality in your
goal statement.

>If that something utilizes a new technical approach, all the better!

You do not mention what performance level the new technical approach needs
to achieve.

Without that statement you have no grounds to complain about the
performance...you have no grounds on which to evaluate the utility of this
new approach.

See:
http://overton.tamu.edu/aset/krajci
specifically the page where I have photos/text about motorizing a dobsonian.

It's not just a page of 'gee, look what I did!'

At the bottom of the page is the most important part. That section is
labeled "lessons learned, and what I would do differently next
time."

Because of this last section...the next person that attempts to motorize a
dob has a better chance of improving on the design and implementation of
the design.

I recommend more folks adopt this approach when posting web pages detailing
their ATM adventures. It will help propel advances and skills faster in
this field.

Or do you think this approach is wrong?
