Reason #1, Having to edit the status line  just to change to a different
drive, as opposed to point & click on a box with the drive letter in it.

I HATED always having to do that..... Still got one machine with TOS 1.2 in
it and last time I got a file selector I reached for the mouse and.... no
box.... arggggghhhhhh!
