Thanks Stephen, that all but solved the problem. > I was talking to a guy in Germany about a simple command line > utility that could possibly be used from a mailer to hot swap > out to save voice files. Kinda like BGFax or other fax > utilities. What I'm wanting is a standalone voice answering machine application for the business, OS/2 based, with optional mailbox etc etc features. It's not related to or involved with the online system in any way. I have one half written now, should eventually do the job (and be marketable). I've always run seperate voice and fax lines with the business. The BBS/ISP setup is entirely seperate (and the BBS is into phase-down mode after 7.5 yrs of operation :). > Cooee works very well at saving and answering voice files. > Just ashame that the rest of it isn't quite up to scratch > yet. Even irrespective of the application itself, it's Win3.xx base is far from acceptable by the standards I've become used to for years now. I've powered Cooee+Voice under WinOS2 for referance purposes. Worked fine, but at best makes a huge deal out of what should be a simple (and usually background) task. Something as simple/reliable/elegant as FaxWorks/2 is what I'm after.
