RW>I just have to give grief to the AMR people...we are their biggest
RW>competitor in Michigan, and we are starting to get contracts that
RW>they used to have.....we
RW>do it on the road with the crews, too...all in fun!
I don't work for AMR, in fact I don't even work for a private, for which
I feel really fortunate. However, I have noticed since AMR has moved
into this area in a big way that the remaining privates do seem to be
holding their own. It seems that some clients just don't like the way
that really big guys do business. Over all this is probably a good
thing. On a similar note, I know a bunch of people that work for AMR,
and worked for smaller companies before. To a person, their morale has
dropped. People that used to be very enthusiastic about what they did,
not only the patient care part, but all of it, just don't care any more.
They still love the patient care part, but they just don't have the
loyalty to the company that they used to. It's a very sad thing to see.
